Emerging infectious diseases are a major challenge to the biological safety of the world in the 21 st century.Animals,and particularly wild animals,are thought to be the source of more than 70 ％of these emerging infections.Outbreaks of MERS-CoV and Ebola virus have put the focus on the role of wild and domestic animal populations in the transmission and the maintenance of these emerging diseases.
