In recent years,fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) has attracted researchers great interests,which has potential applications in biological detection.To construct a highly sensitive nanoprobe based on FRET for the detection of small biological molecules,rare-earth doped upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) are chosen as energy acceptor owing to their excellent optical properties,such as high signal-to-noise ratio,narrow emission peaks,good chemical and thermal stability,and low toxicity[1].
