The development of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with multiple functions represents one of the most exciting and rapidly growing fields in coordination and materials chemistry in recent years.In our efforts to construct multifunctional coordination architectures by metal-assisted self-assembly, using well designed or selected ligands, we obtained many series of functional coordination architectures with different metal ions.The effects of the ligand backbones, the roles of counter anions and other factors that controlling the framework formation, have been investigated.The properties and functions of these complexes have been studied and these results will be reported.
