This paper presents the theoretical analysis of a multilayered magneto-electro-thermoelastic hollow cylinder which consists of piezoelectric and magnetostrictive materials.The composites made of piezoelectric and magnetostrictive materials exhibits the magnetoelectric effect,and are applicable to industrial fields.In the past,various problems in magneto-electro-elastic media was analyzed.The research to derive the exact solution of the transient thermal stress problem of the multilayered magneto-electro-thermoelastic hollow cylinder in the plane strain state was also done.However,to the authors knowledge,the exact solution of the transient thermal stress problem of the multilayered magneto-electro-thermoelastic hollow cylinder in the generalized plane strain state has not been reported.In the present article,we analyze the thermal stress problem for the hollow cylinder in the generalized plane strain state.
