Aim: Diabetes is a risk factor for osteoarthritis.Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) are important pathogenetic mediators of diabetic complications.AGEs are the ligands of receptor for AGEs (RAGE) and toll-like receptor (TLR).Activation of peroxisome proliferators activated receptor (PPAR)-γ may regulate the inflammatory responses in chondrocytes.
