  Recently, transition metal oxides have been extensively investigated as potential lithium battery anodes for higher theoretic capacity, CuO is a promising one among them due to several advantages.Therefore, various nanostructures of CuO have been prepared with various methods and used for anode materials, but there are few reports on one-pot synthesis two-dimensional (2D) CuO nanoleaves at mild condition.Herein, 1D Cu(OH)2 nanowires were prepared first with facile precipitation method which is a friendly and simple approach, then dispersed in distilled ion water and dried at 80 ℃ in air, finally due to the dehydration and self-assemble of Cu(OH)2 nanowires CuO nanoleaves were obtained.
