The lipase catalyzed carbonyl α-substitution reactions such as Michael reaction, aldol reaction and Mannich reaction etc.reported previously were left unsatisfied in those chemical yield and stereoselectivity.Furthermore, the reports about their application to a domino reaction were very rare.Therefore, in this study,we tried to develop a novel efficient carbonyl α-substitution reaction using lipases.In Michael reaction for the synthesis of warfarin, we found a procedure with good chemical yield and stereoselectivity.Additionally, we tried syntheses of bicyclic compounds by a domino Michael-aldol reaction and gave products in good yields.
