　　Xylooligosaccharides (XOS) are nowadays food additives considered as prebiotics.They claims to have beneficial effects for human health specifically over the colon of the host.XOS presents advantages over some other oligosaccharides synthesised industrially.XOS are present in several kinds of vegetal materials,furthermore XOS recovery from ago-industrial wastes oromotes an environmental friendly way of granting added value to these residues.
