Esophageal cancer is the sixth most common cause of cancer-related deaths and the eighth most common cancer worldwide.With an estimated approximately 500,000 new cases and More than 400,000 deaths occurred per year worldwide.And the overall 5-year survival ranges from 15% to 25%[1-4].Gastric cancer (GC),including adenocarcinoma of the distal esophagus and the esophagogastric junction (EGJ),although the overall incidence and mortality of this disease have dramatically declined over the last few decades,it remains a major health problem.
