During the past decades, single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNT) have attracted considerable attentions due to their unique chemical and physical properties.SWNT are typically intertwined bundles with very low solubility in either water or organic solvents.Many approaches have been investigated to improve dispersion and solubility of nanotubes1-5.In this work, a new surface functionalization method was developed by utilizing the free radical generated via Bergman Cyclization of enediyne compounds to react with pristine carbon nanotube.
