In a collaborative research on the diversity of aero-aquatic fungi in Thailand between NITE of Japan and BIOTEC of Thailand, a new species and another cryptic species of Pseudoclathrosphaerina were isolated.Conidia of Pseudoclathrosphaerina is similar to those of Clathrosphaeria in the conidial shade of dichotomouslv branching clathrate-globose from the outside.However, the top of the conidia of Clathrosphaerina is closed with the conidial hyphal net, and is not in Pseudoclathrosphaerina.
