Ojective To analyze the clinical characteristics and neuroradiologic feaures of mitochondrialencephalomyopathy with lactic acidosis and stroke-like episodes(MELAS).Methods Systemic study was performed on the clinical features and lab data of 9 adult MELAS patients. We analyzed 32 T2WI,T1WI, FLAIR, DWI, and ADC of MRI imaging during 14 stroke-like episodes in these patients. We performed a visual assessment of the MR images including the ADC, comparison of the ADC between the normal and abnormal areas. In addition, the patterns of evolution on follow-up MR images were analyzed.
