The effects of three kinds of ultrafiltration membrane on the quality of lychee juice were investigated.The membrane materials applied to ultrafiltration were Ceramic membrane(Ⅰ), polyether sulfone membrane with different molecular weight cutoff(100000(Ⅱ) and 500000(Ⅲ)).The trans-membrane pressure (TMP) and axial feed flow rate (Qf) were evaluated according to the total recycle mode.It was found that ceramic UF membrane was better than the polyether sulfone membrane in clarification and the optimal conditions were TMP=0.25 MPa and Qf =45 L/min using ceramic UF membrane module.the permeate fluxes of Ceramic membrane was four times than polyether sulfone membrane under the same trans-membrane pressure and axial feed flow rate.pH, total soluble solid (TSS) and color characteristics (CIE L* a* b*), Transmittance, retention rate of total sugar, total phenol, total pectin were measured.
