  The combination of two bioactive ceramic compounds as Ca3(PO4)2(tricalcium phosphate,TCP)and CaMg(SiO3)2(diopside,D)can led to novel designs of bioactive and bioresorbable materials for use as bone substitutes.On the one hand,TCP presents high bioactivity,osteoconductivity and biodegradability.On the other,silicon and magnesium are essential trace elements with stimulatory effects on bone formation.
