Bamboo fiber is often chosen as reinforcement for composites as its good mechanical properties.In this paper, bamboo fibers were treated by alkali solution with concentration of 6%, 8%, 10%, 15%, 25%.The chemical component and ultrastructure of bamboo fiber were investigated by FT-IR and XRD, contact angles of single bamboo fibers were measured as well.
