The use of grafted melons for reducing damages caused by soil-borne pathogens is launching in Iran. The price of a grafted transplant is approximately seven times higher than that of a non-grafted one, and thus growers have to carefully consider the economic benefits of using grafted plants, which depends on expected yield and income.Yield and quality of muskmelon cultivar Samsoori (Falat seed company) grafted on rootstock of Cucurbita maxima Duchesne×Cucurbita moschata Duchesne ("Ace";DongBu HighTek seed company) were evaluated in open filed conditions.Experiment had six treatments, two of which with non-grafted and grafted plants with plant densities of 13,333, 8,333, and 6,060 plants/ha.
