  Background: Radioiodine-131 (I-131) tiherapy has been commonly used for well differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC).To achieve sufficient I-131 uptake in residual thyroid tissues and tumors,I-131 therapy for DTC requires thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) elevation.
