Although the Cretaceous atmospheric CO2 concentrations reconstructed can serve as a media between the oceanic and terrestrial systems, the terrestrial responses to the oceanic anoxic events (OAEs) are enigmatic. The Cretaceous Dalazi Formation in the Yanji Basin represents one of the typical lacustrine horizons in the Cretaceous deposits in eastern part of the Eurasia continent provides an insight into the terrestrial feedback to the Cretaceous global events, especially OAEs.
