Whether the direction of pressure has an impact on the performance in pointing tasks was not contained in Fitts Law.To investigate the effect of direction on pressure, four different direction rectangular menus with different distances and widths were designed to find out the performance in pointing tasks.Findings showed that targets width, distances and pointing direction did affect humans ability to control pressure.Experimental results showed that the whole pressure range of double target pressure pointing task is compliance with Fitts law.Last, some implications were presented for pen pressure based interface design.
