Cerebral ischemia can cause acute damage to neurons,but how the microglia are affected during ischemia is poorly understood.In this study we used bilateral common carotid artery ligation(BCAL)model to explore the effects of global cerebral ischemia on the dynamics and morphology of the microglia through transcranial two-photon imaging.
