Thorium (Ⅳ) spectrophotometric determination of previous studies. In this paper, the conditions and spectral properties of the color reaction of Th (Ⅳ) with CAB were studied systematically in the presence of cationic surfactant cetyl pyridinium chloride (CPC). The experimental results show that Th (Ⅳ) forms stable green with CAB and CPC in potassium hydrogen phthalate-sodium hydroxide buffer system at pH 5.0
