This paper describes the current state of quality standards of cement in Japan. It consists of three chapters.Chapter 1 described the supply, demand and distribution of cement in Japan.Chapter 2 described the outline of quality standards (JISs) in Japan, the state of harmonization between testing methods in Japan and international standards, the relation with the durability of concrete and the cement quality standard, and the cement-related laws and regulations in Japan.Chapter 3described thecomparison of European Standards and JISs on quality of cement.
