In the modem times, as the economy obtains a highly rapid development and the ecological environment is getting worse and worse, the human beings are confronted with a considerably seriously problem of a harmonious relationship among population, resources, environment and the development of social economy.Under such a current situation, the protection and the development of the ecological economy have aroused the sufficient attentions of the people all over the world at the present time.At the mean time, the ecological economy has transformed into a new way for all countries in the world to carry out the sustainable development program.In this paper, from the perspective of the basic connotation of the ecological economy, in accordance with the current fundamental realities of China, the author conducts an analysis on the problems which currently exist in the ecological economy, and researches the comprehensive evaluation index system of the ecological economy, and finally puts forward the measures of developing the ecological economy according to this comprehensive evaluation index system.
