  In this talk,a coupled hydro-mechanical modeling of porous medium is introduced within the framework of extended finite element method(XFEM).The fully coupled governing equations are derived based on the stress balance equation,the seepage continuity equation and the Biot theory,and reflect the coupling effect inside the medium as well as between the medium and fracture.
