An asymmetric cascade reaction of metallo-isochromenylium has been successfully established with multiple-bond formation viaan enantioselectiveoxa Diels-Alder reactionbycooperative catalysis of Pd(OAc)2 and (S)-Trip.[1,2] This methodology showed good to excellent overall yields and enantioselectivities (up to >99.5% ee), abroad substrate scope, and high efficiency in establishing densely multiplechiral centers including quaternary carbons of variablebridged ring systems.
