Aim: In this study, we investigated the question of whether or not treadmill exercise improves motor and cognition functions in an ischemic rat model, and whether or not the result is associated with HSPs (HSP72, HSP20, and HSP25), responding to neuron or astrocyte.Materials and Methods: Rats were randomly divided into the following four groups: non-exercise with sham operation group (non-Ex+ sham), exercise with sham operation group (Ex+ sham), non-exercise with stroke group (non-Ex + stroke), exercise with stroke group (Ex+ stroke).
