  A heat transfer model for initial solidification region of liquid steel has been established in this paper, which the calculation region includes steel, mold flux film and mold copper plate.The effects of the radius of mold inner comer, the comer thickness of mold copper plate, and the flow rate of cooling water in mold on the solidified shell thickness and the temperature of billet have been studied.
