随着我国煤炭资源的开采深度逐步增大，煤层受底板承压水威胁的程度愈来愈严重，对此，我们更应当加强对底板突水机理的研究，本论文对国内外煤层底板突水机理研究现状进行了介绍，并提出了目前研究中存在的问题。
