Our research proposed the integration of enzyme immobilization with the growth of inorganic crystals.By introducing enzyme molecules in the process of inorganic crystal growth,the new method can achieve the immobilization of enzyme in the nanoconfined space of inorganic crystals and the controllable distribution of enzyme molecules in inorganic crystal carriers at the same time.We elucidated the effect of nanoconfinement of enzyme in inorganic crystals on improving enzyme stability,achieved the controllable distribution of multiple enzymes in the enzyme-inorganic crystal composites,and highly increased the overall activity of enzyme cascade through the proximity effect and the compartmentalization effect.Our research provides a new method for the design of highly efficient immobilized enzymes.
