A rapidly developing world energy demand has provided particular impetus for worldwide exploration on the non-conventional energy sources such as coalbed methane (CBM).China has abundant coalbed methane resources and has quickened its pace in developing CBM.Up to date,the CBM is most frequently utilized as a low-energy-value fuel gas.Its high-value-added utilization,however,is to upgrade it to natural gas pipeline quality.In this context,oxygen removal (to 0.1 vol ％or less) is one of the most technically challenging and expensive processes.
