Summary:A disintegrin and metalloproteinase 17(ADAM17)is a metalloprotease that is overexpressed in many cancer types. However, the regulatory mechanisms of ADAM17 in tumor-associated angiogenesis are poorly understood. In the present work,we provide evidence using overexpression of microRNA 512-3p(miR-512-3p)that miR-512-3p negatively regulates ADAM17 expression. In this study,miR-512-3p decreases the expression of ADAM17 in human umbilical vein endothelial cell, suggesting an important regulatory mechanism.Additionally,we showed that the regulation of ADAM17 is partly involved in the effects of miR-512-3p on proliferation and migration. In summary,miR-512-3p regulates human umbilical vein endothelial cell proliferation and migration by down-regulation ADAM17.
