Functionally graded materials (FGMs) are considered to be advanced composite materials in high temperature and vibration environments [1,2].With the increasing use of FGMs.it is important to understand the nonlinear vibration behavior of FGM structures.Quite a few studies in this area have been conducted.Praveen and Reddy [3] analyzed the nonlinear static and dynamic response of functionally graded ceramic-metal plates in a steady temperature field based on first order shear deformation plate theory.Sundaraja et al.[4] carried out finite element analysis of nonlinear free vibration of both rectangular and skew FGM plates.
