Background HBV-infected individuals are immune tolerant or have deleted HBV antigen-specific T cell clones, which are thought to underlie the pathogenesis in chronic asymptomatic HBV canrriers (AsC).The importance of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells in protection against HBV is well known, and T cell receptor beta variable (TCRBV)reflects the composition and function of T ceils. However, the molecular profiles of TCRBV in CD4+,CD8+ T cell subsets andperipheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) in AsC have not been well described.
