  The vegetable production in greenhouse grows rapidly in rural and suburb in China in recent decade.However,problems such as large land invasion of grain and crop fields,traditional cultivation methods,shortage of soil and water resources,continuous cropping field,environment deterioration and unsustainable development have generated severe challenges during the rapid development of rural greenhouse facilities.It is in great demand to renovate the development mode of rural greenhouse facilities and promote new advanced technology.Environment-friendly and sustainable closed hydroponic production system and equipment technological innovation was shown in this paper.To avoid the environment solution,substrate culture methods were used in the traditional rural greenhouse.Also a kind of white plastic material was designed to cover whole place inside the greenhouse,which can isolate the crops and soil.It could not only avoid the environment pollution,but also saving the water,fertilizers and energy,etc.Intelligent irrigation system with fertilizers together,which called “smart hydroponics” instead of traditional pour irrigation or tube irrigation,using drip irrigation to maximum save water and fertilizers also.These innovation improve the traditional greenhouse to closed system,which will evaluate about 3~5 times income for the growers.
