Introduction Botulinum neurotoxins (BoNTs),produced by Clostridium botulinum,are the most potent protein toxins identified to datel.However,botulism can be effectively treated by prompt diagnosis and detection.Recently,the combination of the endopeptidase assay with FRET (F(o)rster resonance energy transfer) that utilizes fluorescence donor and fluorescence acceptor (or quencher) makes it very powerful and sensitive in BoNTs detection2.In this study,based on our previous report3,we developed a VAMP2 based FRET peptide for simple and rapid detection of LC/B.
