  Organic-inorganic hybrid materials are intensively researched in various fields for their unique quality of combining both the functionality of organic compounds and the stability of inorganic compounds.Due to the diversity structures and fascinating applications, organic-inorganic hybrid composite materials have been expected to be next generation functional materials.Molecular imprinting is considered as an elegant and convenient technology that can introduce specific recognition and binding sites in materials, which are geometrically and chemically complementary to the template.In this study, the new organic-inorganic hybrid composite imprinted materials based on methacrylic acid@γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (MAA-APTS) as polymerization precursor and 2-hydroxy-3-naphthoic acid and methylpiperazine as mimic template have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
