Multidrug resistance (MDR) in cancer is a major cause for the failure of anti-cancer chemotherapy with elevated expression of particular proteins,such as glycoprotein P (P-gp).It was found that some Pluronics could inhibit the P-gp efflux system,resulting in drastic sensitization of these tumors with respect to anticancer agents.
