Polo-like kinases (PLKs) are critical regulators in the cell cycle.PLK family is a highly conservedserine/threonine protein kinase family and there are five paralogues in vertebrates[l].In many cancers PLK1 overexpresses[2].Human PLK1,consisting of 603 aminoacid residues, contains one kinase domain (KD) and two polo-box (PB) domains.
