The sulfuric acid was used as a catalyst to synthesize butyl acetate under microwave irradiation without any solvent and inorganic carrier. The influences of the amount of the catalyst, the molarratio of alcohol to the acid and the irradiation time on the yield of ester were investigated: mole ratio of n-butyl alcohol and acetic acid is 1: 3.0,the dosage of the catalyst is 3.5 mL,microwave radiation power is 600 W,the reaction time is 12 min,and reaction temperature is 120 ℃.Under the optimized conditions, the production rate of around 85.0%.
