Rice black-streaked dwarf disease, caused by Rice black-streaked dwarf virus (RBSDV) transmitted by the small brown planthopper (SBPH, Laodephax striatellus Fallén), is a serious threat to rice production. In our study, an RBSDV-resistant variety Tetep from Vietnam was screened by the field test and verified by the artificial inoculation test. The result of SBPH and RBSDV resistance evaluation revealed rice black-streaked dwarf disease resistance of Tetep derived from resistance to RBSDV rather than SBPH.Inheritance analysis and QTL mapping were carried out using F2populations derived from the cross between Huaidao No.5 and Tetep.
