  Graphite is the most commonly used anode material for lithium ion batteries.However, the commercial graphite anodes have several obvious disadvantages such as low theoretical specific capacity (372 mAh g-1) and limited rate capability.[1] Therefore, it is a great challenge to improve the electrochemical performance of graphite and other carbon-based anodes.
