　　Background: Monoamine oxidase A(MAOA),a mitochondrial enzyme,degrades the oxidative deamination of dietary amines and monoamine neurotransmitters.Recently,a few reports have demonstrated that MAOA mediate epithelial to mesenchymal transition(EMT)in tumor cells.The aim of the present study was to observe MAOA expression in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)tissues,and to clarify the correlation between MAOA expression and the clinicopathological features or EMT in NSCLC.
