沙特拉比格电厂位于沙特阿拉伯王国(Kingdom of Saudi Arabia)西南部红海东部沿岸平原上,地质情况为勘探深度50m范围内钻探所揭露地层主要由第四纪全新世新近风积和海相沉积形成的砂土和更新世海相沉积形成的珊瑚礁、珊瑚状碎屑岩及珊瑚状灰岩组成,作为在珊瑚岩地基上建电站的首例,全厂主要建筑物都采用了天然地基,积累了一定经验,可供同行借鉴与参考.
