In this study, we investigated different spinning processes to electrical resistance properties of anti-static polyester fiber.We demonstrated that using sheath/core cross-section of bicomponent fiber processing can significantly improve the electrical resistance and mechanical properties of anti-static polyester fiber when its spinning speed is more than 2000 m/min.When the ratio of the sheath/core polymers of the anti-static fiber is 40/60, it has the electrical resistance of ~2X 106Ω/cm, the tenacity ~ 1.9 gf/d, and elongation of~ 150%.To further study these interesting behavior, we will systematically investigate the electrical resistance property and the filter analysis of anti-static polyester chip.In addition, we will examine the cross-section, electrical resistance properties, and mechanical properties of anti-static polyester fiber specimens.
