Nightmares in cath labs can be an adrenaline charged experience rarely.In some cases prompt non standardized novel techniques and strategies may be life saving.We present some extremely rare cases not mentioned in literature.Case Ⅰ: In a case of kyphoscoliosis, hemi vertebrae & absent ribs PDA device closure was impossible because of multiple kinks in the sheath.The problem was overcome by using combination of soft Mullins dilator & stiff Cooks sheath.Case Ⅱ: In a case of large PDA with severe PH, the device embolised into aorta.The device was given a gentle nudge from right common iliac artery to make it fall into left common iliac artery.Like docking the space shuttle to space station the screw was fastened in the left common iliac artery and retrieved successfully.
