Recent research in both animals and humans has indicated that deep brain stimulation(DBS) may have potential for the treatment of drug dependence and relapse, but few studies of DBS on the treatment of heroin dependence,in particular for relapse to heroin seeking,it is not yet entirely clear which brain and paradigm should be applied.

Drug addiction is a chronic relapsing brain disease and has close interaction with sleep disorders which are its significant risk factors and may lead to drug addiction and relapse.

Objective Previous studies have reported that rats with depressive-like behaviors show alleviated evoked pain responses, while their spontaneous pain responses are aggravated.
