  Here,we reported an innovative method for purification of Lourein B which is one of the most active compounds in Dragons Blood resin extract.Various kinds of macro porous resins combined with different fractions of ethanol were used to purify the Lourein B.According to our results,Sp 825 offered higher adsorption and desorption capacities and higher adsorption speed for Lourein B than other resins.Furthermore,it is also concluded from this study that combined use of resin and 60% fraction of ethanol was useful in the screening of desire compound.The optimum parameters for adsorption were sample solution LX concentration 0.024g/ml,processing volume 2 BV,flow rate 1.5 BV/h,temperature 25 ℃ for desorption were elution solvent ethanol–water (50:50,v/v) 2 BV and followed by ethanol–water (50:50,v/v) 2 BV,and flow rate 2 BV/h.After treated with Sp825 resin,the LX content in the product was increased 20 times,increasing the recovery yield up to 65%.The results showed that Sp825 resin revealed an excellent ability to separate Lu from LX.Therefore,we conclude that results in this study may provide scientific references for the large-scale single compound production from any plants extracts.
