Objective To compare the inducing effect of different application options in mild-to-moderate ulcerative colitis.Methods One hundred eighty-six consecutive diagnosed ulcerative colitis cases from July 2012 to February 2014 in our IBD center were retrospectively analyzed for their inducing effect (30 days after medication).Complete response was defined as stool frequency≤ twice per day, no bloody stool, abdominal pain, fever, weight loss or other clinical manifestations; partial remission defined as stool frequency ≤4 times per day, some bloody stool, abdominal pain, or stool frequency decreased by 4 times/d than before, but no systemic symptoms including fever, weight loss and so on; no response was defined as no improvement in clinical symptoms.
