Coconut cadang-cadang viroid (CCCVd) is the causal agent of the lethal cadangcadang disease in the Philippines.In Malaysia, several sequence variants of CCCVd were found in oil palms but in low concentration.Existing molecular methods used for detection of this viroid is time-consuming and insensitive.Therefore, SYBRgreen based real-time PCR assay has been developed to rapidly detect CCCVd variants in oil palm which is of low concentration.
