The objectiveofthis study was to compare height ,sitting height , chest circumference of leg length ofchildren and adolescents at Tibetan Plateau with those at Andes in order to explore patterns and characteristics of growth and development ,to identify the differences in growth and development of children and adolescences between regions ultimately, findings from this study may be used to help improve health of residents and promote the growth and development of children and adolescents and to provide theoretical framework for high altitude medicine and anthropology.
